Aviation Websites That Perform and Bring You Customers
Your aviation business needs more than a website — it needs one that actually generates leads. Most aviation sites were built by designers who don’t understand the industry, and it shows. We build custom WordPress sites for flight schools, FBOs, maintenance shops, and charter operators — built for speed, accessibility, and lead generation on a modern tech stack. No templates. No bloated page builders. Just a site that works as hard as your business does.

The Problem
Most Aviation Websites Aren’t Generating Leads
If your website looks like it was built in 2015, you’re not alone. Most aviation businesses — flight schools, FBOs, maintenance shops, charter operators — are running on outdated sites that don’t generate leads. And if you’re launching a new aviation business, you might not have a site at all — which means potential customers can’t find you, can’t evaluate you, and can’t trust you.
The symptoms are familiar:
Slow Load Times
Visitors leave before the page finishes loading. Google notices too, and pushes slow sites down in search results.
Not Mobile-Friendly
Most web traffic comes from phones. If your site doesn't work on a phone screen, you're losing customers every day.
Unclear Next Step
A visitor lands, looks around, and has no idea what to do next. No form, no visible phone number, no reason to reach out.
Generic Content
Your web designer didn't understand your industry, and the copy reads like it could be for any business.
Hiring a generic web designer or agency often makes it worse. They don't understand aviation terminology, your customers' buying process, or what makes your business different from the FBO two counties over. You need someone who builds websites and understands aviation.
Our Approach
How We Build Aviation Websites
We don’t start with a template and swap in your logo. We start with your content, your customers, and your business goals — then build a site around them.
Content-First Methodology
The design follows the content, not the other way around. We figure out what your site needs to say before we decide how it looks. That means your pages are structured around real customer questions and search terms, not filler text.
Modern, Proven Technology
We build on WordPress using Etch and Automatic CSS — a professional development stack that produces clean, fast, maintainable code. No bloated page builders. No theme frameworks that pile on unnecessary JavaScript. Your site loads fast because we don't weigh it down.
Core Web Vitals as Standard
Core Web Vitals are Google's measurements for how fast your site loads, how quickly it responds to interaction, and whether the layout stays stable while people are reading. Every site we build is engineered to pass. This isn't an upsell — it's how we build.
WCAG Accessibility as Standard
Your website should work for everyone — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) because it's the right thing to do and because accessible sites perform better in search.
Privacy-First Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics instead of Google Analytics. Plausible gives you the traffic data you need without tracking your visitors, dropping cookies, or requiring a consent banner. Your customers' privacy matters.

The Process
How Your Project Works
We follow the same structured process for every project. No surprises, no scope creep, no “we’ll figure it out as we go.”
Discovery (Week 1-2)
We start with a detailed conversation about your business, customers, and goals. We'll review your existing site, look at your competitors, and document everything in a discovery worksheet.
Strategy (Week 2-3)
Based on discovery, we build your sitemap, content plan, and SEO keyword strategy. You'll see every page we're building, what goes on it, and which keywords we're targeting.
Design (Week 3-5)
We design your site around your content — layouts, typography, color, imagery. You'll review and approve designs before we write a single line of code.
Development (Week 5-8)
We build the site in WordPress using Etch and Automatic CSS. Every page is hand-coded for performance and accessibility, then tested across devices and browsers.
Launch (Week 8-9)
We handle the technical launch — DNS, SSL, 301 redirects from your old site, Search Console submission, Plausible Analytics setup, and a full QA pass.
Care Plan (Ongoing)
After launch, your Wingman Website Care Plan kicks in — hosting, security monitoring, nightly backups, plugin and WordPress updates, and direct support when you need it.
Timeline Note
Most projects take 6-9 weeks from discovery to launch. Complex sites or projects that depend on client-provided content may take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline during discovery — not a number designed to close a sale.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Every project is different. If you’re wondering how this applies to your situation, let’s talk.
Most custom aviation websites fall in the $15,000 range, depending on the number of pages, features, and complexity. We provide a detailed estimate after discovery so you know exactly what you’re paying for — no bait-and-switch pricing.
Most projects take 6-9 weeks from discovery to launch. The biggest variable is content — if you have your text and photos ready, we move faster. We’ll set realistic expectations during discovery.
We handle your content strategy, site structure, and SEO-optimized copy. You’ll need to provide business-specific details — service descriptions, pricing, team bios, and photos we can’t source ourselves. We guide you through exactly what we need and when.
WordPress — specifically, we build with Etch and Automatic CSS. Etch is a modern WordPress development framework that produces clean, fast, maintainable code. It’s not a drag-and-drop page builder — it’s a professional development tool.
Yes. WordPress has a built-in content editor, and we train you on how to use it. For structural changes or new features, that’s what your Wingman Website Care Plan is for.
Absolutely. We’ve worked with new operations that needed to establish trust online before they had a track record to lean on. We’ll build a professional site that communicates competence and credibility from day one — so your first impression isn’t “brand new,” it’s “these people know what they’re doing.”
